That's definitely the question. This blog is pretty quiet, because we're in the day-to-day final paper chase. Yes, our home study was complete in November. Yes, we sent our documents one month ago to Harrisburg to be certified. But little problems in a few papers cropped up, and we've dealt with 2 countries, 3 states, and 2 provinces in the last month trying to finalize everything. Phew!
So, the bottom line is... nothing has changed, we're still getting our dossier ready to send to our social worker, who will then send it to Ethiopia for us.
But, on the bright side, my little etsy shop is keeping me busy enough in addition to the rest of life.

In the last month, I have had some seriously fun thrifting outings. I love to find crafting goodies for next to nothing, add some vision and a little elbow grease, and.... voila!
Okay, do you want to see a fun before & after? Here's an old jewelry box begging for a transformation. And at about $1.50, who could resist?

Add a china blue painted finish and distress. Make it happy with a fun scrapbook paper decoupaged right to the glass. Lovely shabby chic jewelry box. So fun!
I love reading blogs with thrift store transformations. Before & after pictures fuel my inspiration. I need to remember to take more of the ugly duckling photos before I get my paintbrush, Mod Podge and sandpaper out!

So here's a little sneak peak into some thrifting goodies from this week.
Most of these items will make it into my etsy shop in one form or another.
What do you think they will become? You'll have to check back later to find out. Do you shop thrift stores? It is like treasure hunting!
The moral of this story is... while you're waiting on your dossier to be finished, there's always shopping at the local thrift store to keep you busy!
